The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) had a full Calendar of Events in the month of September, with several important meetings all taking place within the same month around the Pacific region.
The latest issue of the SPREP-Tok, a monthly e-newsletter developed by the Secretariat, highlights the many notable achievements and developments in the work that was undertaken by its programmes and projects throughout September.
Highlights include the inaugural SPREP Executive Board Meeting in Apia, the signing of the Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership between SPREP, Forum Fisheries Agency, the Pacific Community and the University of the South Pacific in Suva, the launching of the Inform project in Palau and the preparatory meeting for the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, also held in Apia, to name a few.
