Fisheries in the South Pacific

Fish are referred to as a renewable resource as long as the numbers caught are replaced by sufficient young fish. The renewability of fisheries resources, however, depends on our ability to protect fish stocks from uncontrolled fishing, and to ensure that eethe environment in which they live does not deteriorate. This video contains a brief overview of Pacific Islands fisheries including the marine environment, species caught, fishing methods and fisheries management options.
