The Fanga'uta Lagoon System is an impressive feature of Tongatapu, a flat coral platform island. It was formed when the northern end of the island titled downwards into the sea allowing the sea to flood inland areas to form the large complex lagoon system we call Fanga'uta, Fangakakau and Fangalongonoa to reger to all parts of the lagoon
