Measures to Control Acess and Promote Benefit Sharing : A Selection of Case Studies

Fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources is one of the three objectives of the Convention on Biological Diversity. Parties to the Convention have a national obligation to give priority attention to this, and other issues covered by the text of the Convention.
