Environmental Vulnerability Index (EVI) project: Intial testing of the Global EVI

This report describes the progress on developing the EVI made in the period April 2001 to March 2002. The main focus of the work during this period was on Improving international awareness of the EVI and its potential roles in domestic and international processes, Obtaining collaboration from countries selected for testing the index, Developing and establishing a global EVI database and carrying out the first tests and setting EVI scaling for 3 indicators.
