Freshwater Biodiversity of Latin America and the Caribbean

This analysis is a first attempt to characterizw, map, and evaluate the priority for conservation action in large areas of freshwater biodivaersity in the LA/ C region. The ecoregional approach adopted by this study can help conservation planners address large-scale and long term issues that will ultimately determine the success of conservationefforts.
