Environmental Implementation Adviser ( EIA ) : Working Paper No. 52

This visit by the EIA, between the dates of 12 th March and 7 th April 2001 was for the purpose of assisting the staff of DoE to develop a draft Environmental Management Plan for Fanga'uta Lagoon, with associated pamphlets and other documentation to increase public awareness of the need for such a plan. The main tasks undertaken were review of all relevant documentation produced under TEMPP and from other sources on aspects of the formation, physicalcharateristics, use by humans, and current state of the lagoon to provide background documentation for the EMP and facilitation for the production of a draft EMP for Fanga'uta lagoon. THis work focused on DoE staff and PIC members.
