Environmental Indicators
Environment monitoring and its associated development of datasets and indicators is one of the challenging and exciting priorities for SPREP in the next five years. Monitoring targets key indicators that not only help track the state of the environment, but also the contribution of environmental resources and services to the economic and social well-being of Pacific Island people.
What we do
SPREP is helping to strengthen effective institutional arrangements to enable a systematic iterative process of reflections, consultations and planning on environmental needs and actions that depend on access to good quality, up-to-date environmental information and databases.
