National Profile of Chemicals Mangement Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Tonga

One of the most disconcerting revelations of the preparation of this profile was the almost total neglect of a national " safety culture". TO an extent, this reflects the easy-going nature of the Tongan lifestyle. There was little awareness by workers and the public concerning the potential risks associated with chemical formulation, import, export, handling, storage, use and disposal althrough there was concern by all relevant ministries of the current situation.
