The Pacific Islands Greenhouse Gas Abatement through Renewable Energy Project (PIGGAREP) is a Global Environment Facility (GEF) US$5.25 million grant funded five year project in eleven Pacific Island Countries (PICs)1 under GEF Strategic Priority SP-4: Productive Uses of Renewable Energy. National on-the-ground PIGGAREP activities in the applicable 11 PICs began on 1 January 2008.
