State of the Environment in Asia and the Pacific

Asia anf the Pacific is an ecology diverse region, but it also has some specific common features. The environmental diversity can be seen in coldest and hottest deserts, verdant tropical rain forests, extensive grasslands, rich alluvial plains, the worlds highest mountain and the largest ocean , the Pacific. The climatic pattern varies considerably, with the arid countries of the region receiving the lowest precipitation.
