The Trophies
The 2nd Pacific Island Environment Leadership Awards were originally planned to be hosted in New Caledonia. Hence, we worked with a young sculptor in Noumea, Melem TIAOU, to create the beautiful trophies which were awarded to each of the winners.
The trophy design incorporates flora and fauna elements of New Caledonia and the Pacific. This includes New Caledonia's endemic Cagou bird, hibiscus flower, manta ray, turtle, coral and a nautilus shell.
